Daily Devotional

I Corinthians 13:1-7 | Read in NIV YouVersion

We are beginning a new series entitled "Body Language: Building One Another up in the Body of Christ." This week, we will focus on the language of LOVE that our Father calls us to speak with one another.

Pause for Reflection:

Without love, even spiritual words become noise. Being right, gifted, or eloquent isn't enough. Christian communication must be governed by love.

Are there certain situations/interactions in which you struggle to be "governed" by love? Examples to think through include:

* political conversations
* customer service conflicts
* specific family interactions
* online forums and/or "anonymous" interactions
* people you feel have wronged you

If one or more of these are areas where change is needed, offer it to the Lord today as a sacrifice. Write out a prayer you will choose to pray before you engage in these situations/environments. You may want to put it in your phone's notes and refer to it on a daily basis until it becomes a prayer that is deep within you.

Pray for strong marriages at Living Faith. Pray that every spouse will speak to their beloved with kindness and honor.
