This Sunday's message will focus on putting on the armor of God to be ready for battling whatever the enemy sends your way.

Pause for Reflection:

Reflect on these pieces of armor by studying these Scriptures for each.

Belt of Truth

• 1 Kings 2:4- "If your sons pay close attention to how they live, walking before me faithfully with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel."
• Psalm 25:5- "Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my savior, and in you I hope all day long."
• Psalm 86:11- "Teach me your way, Lord, that I may walk in your truth. Give me an undivided heart to revere your name."
• Psalm 119:30- "I have chosen the way of truth; I have set your laws before me."
  
• Proverbs 23:23- "Buy the truth and do not sell it—wisdom, instruction, and insight as well." 
• 3 John 1:4- "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth."

Breastplate of Righteousness

• Isaiah 59:17- "He put on righteousness as his breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped himself in zeal as a cloak." 
• 1 Thessalonians 5:8- "But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet."
• 2 Corinthians 5:21- "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
