This Sunday's message will focus on putting on the armor of God to be ready for battling whatever the enemy sends your way.

Pause for Reflection:
Read these verses again in the Message translation. It's bluntness may be a little refreshing...

"And that about wraps it up. God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well-made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no weekend war that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet."

How does this language intensify the desire in you to be clothed with God's armor? Are there specific areas of spiritual warfare you are experiencing right now? It is better to be aware of it than not. Spend a moment journaling anything you feel you are facing that will require the armor (protection) of God and the breakthroughs that only He can bring.

Pray for the upcoming youth mission trip to the Dominican Republic. They leave in just under two weeks, so pray for all the last minute details to come together and for everyone to stay healthy.

Pray for the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
