Pause for Reflection:
Paul relates this passage to a marriage relationship, but also to our relationship with Jesus as His bride. Have you considered the ways Jesus has cared for the church as He cared for Himself? Spend some time listing the ways Jesus has been a tender bridegroom for His church throughout the years since He established her. Thank Him for this kind of care.
