Meet Our Staff

Eric von Atzigen and his wife, Mindy, moved to Elkhart from Texas to pastor Living Faith in January of 2020. They have enjoyed getting to know the Michiana area and are loving the community God has placed them in. Eric has an undergraduate degree in Education from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, and a Master’s Degree in Practical Theology from ORU in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He loves preaching the gospel and nurturing living faith in people’s hearts. He also really enjoys spending time on a tandem bicycle with his wife, working with wood in his garage, and Texas BBQ! 

Mindy and Eric have been married and partnering together in ministry for 27 years. She loves sharing the hope that is found in Jesus through preaching, worship, and conversations around the table. She also enjoys pretending to pedal on the back of the tandem bicycle, stopping at every roadside produce stand, and spoiling the only child remaining at home--a loveable Daschund.

Michelle enjoys working with a team who has the same goal in mind--walking alongside believers throughout their journey with Christ and winning hearts for Jesus locally and abroad! She likes the administrative and business side of running a church, helping maintain the inner workings in the background. Michelle also oversees our Sunday morning Welcome Team. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband and four daughters.   

Lillian joined the Living Faith Staff in 2022 and has been a joyful addition to our team. She and her husband are both native Brazilians who have served on the mission field in a variety of ways. She has a heart for teens, having 2 of them in her own home, and also loves to build relationships in our neighborhood through the Living Faith Pantry Ministry. 

Tyler oversees all the technical aspects of a Sunday morning, both in person and online. He also takes care of our facilities and is the general go-to guy for managing events on campus. Tyler and his wife have two adorable young daughters who keep them on their toes!

Melody is new to our staff team, but is a longtime volunteer in ROOTS Kids! With a background in family resources, Melody brings creativity and compassion to her ministry to our children. She and her husband have three kiddos of their own and love to camp as a family. You can also find her with a watercolor brush in her hand or in her garden loving on her plants!

Gabriel began leading worship at Living Faith as a high school student, and is now serving in a part-time capacity on our staff team as a college student. He loves playing guitar, keys, and soccer!
